Having had a successful career in operations management, Stephen Drunsic of Dorset, Vermont, spent 15 years enhancing the profitability and productivity of short-line railroads. Stephen Drunsic was most recently the president of the Nashville & Eastern Railroad Corporation (NERR) in Lebanon, Tennessee.
While at NERR, Mr. Drunsic focused on the needs of developers for new or re-purposed properties. He also represented the company to lawmakers and boosted the area’s economy with major industrial projects. He performed similar functions as a senior director and vice president of operations and finance for Transportation Management Services in Manchester, Vermont.
Prior to these positions, Mr. Drunsic fulfilled several assignments in New York City. He was a fixed income futures trader for Goldenberg Hehmeyer and an operations manager for WHENU, Inc., the fourth employee of a marketing firm whose clients included British Airways and priceline.com.
Earlier Mr. Drunsic served as the director of operations for Information Media Productions, overseeing finances and joint ventures for a documentary producer. He was also the executive producer of MacArthur Park, a film that appeared at the Sundance Film Festival and elsewhere.
Upon graduating with honors in economics and finance from Colby College in Maine, Mr. Drunsic became a research analyst for the UBS bank of Switzerland, following trends in the foreign exchange and fixed income markets.
Mr. Drunsic’s resume includes board and trustee seats for the Tennessee Shortline Alliance, the Manchester Riverwalk Association, and the Manchester Community Library. He enjoys exploring the backcountry, snowboarding, tennis, and running.
